The first season of Amazon’s take on Tolkien’s work was one of the most important fantasy productions of 2022, but the mixed reception and controversial fan reaction have made it bittersweet. A Sauron-focused trailer promises a darker season than the first. Sauron disguises himself as an Elf to assist Celebrimbor construct the rings in the trailer.
