‘Star Wars’ is unique in many ways. There is one saga that is unmatched in the genre. The middle has been its starting point since 1979. In a few years, the prequel trilogy (parts ‘I’, ‘II’, and ‘III’) would make ‘Chapter IV’, ‘V’, and ‘VI’ official chapter titles. George Lucas made it clear that the original films were only part of a larger story.

That perspective remains. New sagas, series, and films are almost unwatchable without first asking where they fit into the series’ chronology. Before or after Luke? Even before Obi Wan? Disney tried to clean up the Star Wars chronology by removing many comics and novels, but only the official films and series are somewhat chronologically correct.
