Evan Gershkovich, a journalist who works for the American newspaper “Wall Street Journal,” is being accused of espionage by Moscow. Beginning in March of 2023, he has been incarcerated.

Donald Trump ought not to have consumed an excessive amount of melon when he was in office. On Thursday, May 23, the Kremlin absolutely rejected the former president after he had previously stated that it had the ability to release the American journalist Evan Gershkovich, who had been detained in Russia for more than a year.

It is expected that Evan Gershkovich, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal who is currently under Russian custody, would be released almost quickly after the election, but most likely before I assume office. This past Thursday, the Republican candidate posted a message on Truth Social asserting that “he will be home, safe, and with his family.”

The individual who is once again running for the Republican presidential nomination and who does not conceal his adoration for Vladimir Putin stated, “Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, will do this for me, but for no one else, and we will pay nothing!”

Not a single contact has been made with Donald Trump.

On the other hand, when questioned about the matter, Dmitri Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, voiced his disagreement with the millionaire. It was the same day that he refuted the idea that there was any interaction with Donald Trump. In matters pertaining to those who are incarcerated and convicted, the United States and Russia are required to maintain complete discretion in their interactions with one another. In addition, he stated that this is the only way that they might be successful.

Donald Trump is used to being surrounded by bullshit. Specifically, he has made it clear on multiple occasions that he is capable of putting an end to the conflict in Ukraine, which Russia has been waging for the past two years.

A reporter named Evan Gershkovich was taken into custody by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in March of 2023 when he was reporting in Yekaterinburg, Urals. When it comes to a foreign journalist, he is accused of espionage, a felony that can result in a sentence of up to twenty years in prison. This is a level of seriousness that has not been seen since the fall of the Soviet Union. Russia has never disclosed evidence to the public or provided any evidence to back up its charges, and the entire process has been kept a secret from the whole world.
