There are whispers of 'Call of Duty' on Game Pass on day one. Microsoft clearly wants a subscription avalanche.

A thousand-yard game pass is available. The Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft may have different intentions and launch it directly on Game Pass, despite the fact that the option that appears to be the most logical for Microsoft would be to sell the subsequent installments of the saga separately and in multiplatform mode in order to maximize the commercial potential of the saga. The most recent installment of ‘Diablo’ was released on Game Pass in March of last year, and the reason behind this is crystal clear: to attract an increasing number of members to Game Pass. As of right now (February 2024), there are approximately 34 million subscribers; nevertheless, it is abundantly evident that Microswoft is going to do everything in its power to ensure that the number continues to increase without any interruptions.

The destiny of the Call of Duty brand has been one of the most significant questions that have arisen in relation to Microsoft’s controversial acquisition of Activision Blizzard for a sum of $69 billion USD.
